Meet The Team
Andrew and Nikki Markham are a husband and wife team that combined have over 20 years of experience working within the Funeral Industry. Over the years they have both been honoured to look after countless families and supported them during what is often one of the most upsetting and stressful times of their lives after losing a loved one.
Their knowledge and expertise they have gained during the time they have worked within the industry allows them to provide families with clear and concise information on all of the options that are available. Andrew and Nikki pride themselves on providing a truly unique service with extremely high standards of care to your loved one, meticulous attention to detail and carrying out Funeral Services to a standard that is second to none.
Andrew Markham
Funeral Director
In his spare time Andrew will be more than likely found with his Suffolk Punch Jim or in his Canoe with the dogs on a beautiful river. Andrew’s wonderful children Oliver and Theo also keep him very busy playing rugby or making dens in the woods!
Nikki Markham
Funeral Director
In Nikki’s spare time she will be gallivanting through the countryside on her horse Ron. Ron is a Suffolk Punch X Cob and quite the chunky lad to say the least! Nikki compares him to sitting on a double decker bus with all the antics of a clown but he is her pride and joy and she wouldn’t have him any other way!!!!
David Stanway
Funeral Service Operative
David is 33 years old and has lived locally in Saxmundham for most of his life. He loves living in Suffolk and spending time around the local area.
David has been working with us since 2020, he loves that he has found this wonderful career and strives to make a real difference.
Out of work, David loves to get on his Mountain bike as much as possible to explore the local area. David has a deep interest in Go Karting and any other motor sport and usually describes himself as a Petrol Head.
Should David not be out and about on his bike, you’ll quite often find him in his workshop tinkering with any type of project he can lay his hands on.
He enjoys a vast range of music from Rock/Metal to Reggae.
Olly Hind
Funeral Service Operative
Olly is 27 years old and is new to the funeral industry. He has been with us since January 2023.
Originally, Olly worked in agriculture but loves his new line of work and strives to make a serious career from it.
He lives locally in Sutton and in his spare time he can be found at local open mic nights playing on the drums with other musicians. He also likes dabbling in DJ-Ing and producing dance music.
Olly has a very keen love for sailing and when the opportunity is presented to him to sail, he takes it.
He has a heavy interest in Replica Prop Making, mainly from the Star Wars franchise as he is an avid fan.
This love for model making is not just of Star Wars. He enjoys the attention to detail, whether it be starting from scratch or a purpose kit. He enjoys this greatly and this is what you will find keeping him busy during the winter evenings.
Debbie Williams
Funeral Service Arranger
Debbie has been with us since March 2023 and had previously worked for a large corporate funeral company.
She has a great passion for her work and always goes the extra mile to help families with their wishes.
When Debbie is not working, she loves spending time with her two children, Millie and Alfie.
She makes regular visits to London where she never gets bored of the history and busy lifestyle, as it brings back many happy memories of growing up there.
At the top of her list is a love for shopping and she can be found at Lakeside shopping centre of a weekend.
A competitive side of Debbie springs out and into action when she plays the occasional game of bowling.
One of Debbie's favourite places to visit, is Longleat Safari Park where she enjoys spending time with her family.
Wizard, Merlin and Dobby
Three EXTREMELY important members of the team (or so they think) are Markham Funeral Service’s very own office dogs!
Wizard, Merlin and Dobby are all Border Terriers who are regularly seen around and about in the office, often ruling the roost! They are all funny little characters that love nothing more than a cuddle and a stroke and are always on hand for a little extra comfort if you so wish.
