Fantastic team Andy and Nikki are made for this job, a long with their team, nothing is to much. From that first phone call at 1am, feeling very lost about the next steps Andy was a calm reassuring voice at the other end of the phone. Andy and one of his team came to look after our mum, they were patient, polite, caring and supportive.

“Our family devoted to yours”, that statement is so very apt and couldn’t be more truer, Nikki, Andy and their whole team are completely devoted to what they do and to the families and their loved one in their care from start to finish and beyond. From meeting Nikki, when she came to see my aunt so she could plan her funeral, after receiving devastating news, myself and my hubby and my aunt knew we had made the right choice, friendly, compassionate, empathetic, sympathetic, full of reassurance, advice and guidance, she made my aunt and uncle and me and my hubby feel so at ease, Nikki’s manner was exceptional, she shared laughter with us all and we felt like we had known her for years but maintained her amazing professionalism and made what was quite a difficult thing for my aunt to do so much easier. When my aunt passed away Andy, Nikki and their team showed my aunt the most amazing dignity and respect , it overwhelmed myself and my hubby so much, and the little touches that they did touched myself and hubby so much and it made a very difficult time so much more bearable , knowing my aunt was going to be in their care, she was so well looked after and I experienced first hand how much they all care for anyone in their care. Andy and Nikki were on hand anytime we needed them, whether it was to ask questions , go through things, tweak things or just to have a coffee and chat . Their professionalism, passion for what they do shone through on the day of my aunt’s funeral, Andy,Nikki, and their team made sure everything ran smoothly and were on hand whenever needed on the day offering support, guidance and much more. The weather was just awful but seeing Andy paging my aunt from her home and then to the church , despite the weather , it just blew me and my hubby away , such amazing respect shown. We cannot thank them enough for all they did for us as a family and for my late aunt , we had so many compliments about Andy, Nikki and their team, which they all really truly deserved, they took amazing care of us all , from my 85 year old uncle right down to my aunts 3 little great nephews (youngest is 3). Andy and Nikki and all at Markham’s are completely dedicated to their profession. Myself and hubby are so glad we chose them . I have known Andy for many years, working together at a local funeral directors. Even then as a very young man he was outstanding in the sensitive and caring way he worked, and in my other capacity as a lay minister I saw his professionalism and kindness with the mourners. In time Andy took the step of deciding to open his own business and I was so pleased when he invited my husband Bob and me to see his new premises. Like me, Bob found him a really good person.
Bob died very recently after an illness during which he planned his funeral with me, including his wish for his dog Toby to play a little part. So for me it was an obvious choice to call Andy when I needed him at last. Andy was great and even suggested that Toby could walk with him as he led the hearse to the crematorium. During the service one of his team took Toby for a walk! What a sign of the whole sensitive and thoughtful approach Andy and his team have towards those in deepest need. He made that difficult time one of dignity and great respect for dear Bob.

The special touches of the motorcycle in the entrance the lollipop lady stopping the hearse were inspired and absolutely right. My Husband, I am sure , would have loved the whole thing. The banjo perfectly displayed and please convey our thanks to the florists for making exactly what we had envisaged. You really had a great understanding of what we wanted Andrew, to be able to convey that to the florist. The guests also were very impressed by how you conducted the whole funeral. It possibly was not the easiest with the music etc but whatever hiccup may have occurred you guys calmly sorted it all out to ensure a perfect day for us all. Thank you you are stars ⭐️
I hate to tell you but I think you’ve just become part of my extended family. You are an amazing combination, make sure you enjoy and live life to the full, a work, life balance is vital.
Just a note to say thank you for looking after our Dad last week. Having opted for a Direct Cremation, we had some doubt if it was the right choice but by the time we left Seven Hills, we were so sure it was just right for him, a quiet, modest man who didn’t want a lot of fuss ever.

From the moment we made the first phone call (on Sunday when everyone else seems to be closed) Andrew gently lead us through everything. His approach was perfect with help and guidance and a simple “leave it with me” message meaning that Markham’s were on hand to relieve the pressure whenever needed. Our initial hesitation over the address on Google being “Unit 2” was quickly overcome as their location is a lovely converted barn, so don’t be put off by this. We found Markham’s because others had taken the time to leave reviews at a difficult time and we hope this will help someone else find Markham’s too.
Andy and Nikki have been absolutely amazing over the past few months when we suddenly, and sadly lost two of our family members within weeks of each other.
Their compassion and support at this time was extraordinary and has certainly helped us all come to terms with our loss. We were able to make initial contact with the director even though it was a weekend. The service offered is complete in every detail and allows you to leave them to organise the coroners office, the hospital, the church and the crematoria. Just say what you want and Markham’s will do it all for you – announcements in the paper, flowers, service sheets and of course cars and staff. Unreservedly recommended.

Excellent service. My husband wanted to be buried where he grew up in Suffolk. My Surrey funeral directors could not arrange transport for his body to be taken so far away. Andrew offered to come and collect his body. The weather was atrocious and there was an accident on the motorway. He arrived about 9am and must have been travelling for about 3 hours. From then on, this family run concern did everything they could to guide and reassure. My family and I will be forever grateful to them. A very caring and highly professional company. I would recommend them 200 per cent.

Andrew made my sons funeral so touching and personal, he could not have done anymore. The care thought and dignity made losing Alan bearable.
